Daryl Joseph Mitchell (born 20 May 1991) is a New Zealand cricketer who plays all formats of the game for the New Zealand national team

He has also scored He is the son of New Zealand rugby union coach and former player John Mitchell.

Mitchell is a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-pace bowler. He is primarily a middle-order batsman, but he has also opened the batting in T20Is

He is a powerful hitter, and is known for his ability to clear the ropes with ease. He is also a handy bowler, and can be used to break partnerships or bowl at the death.

Mitchell made his international debut for New Zealand in a T20I against India in February 2019. He made his Test debut against England in December 2019

Mitchell has had a successful international career so far. He scored his maiden Test century against Pakistan in Christchurch in January 2021, and his maiden ODI century against Pakistan in Karachi in March 2021.

He also played a key role in New Zealand's run to the final of the 2021 T20 World Cup, scoring an unbeaten 72 against England in the semi-final.

In 2023, Mitchell was signed by Lancashire County Cricket Club to play in both the County Championship and T20 Blast. He was also signed by the London Spirit to play in The Hundred.

Mitchell is a valuable asset to the New Zealand cricket team, and is one of the most exciting all-rounders in the world game.
